About Allvest Calathea

Allvest Calathea Investment Management LLP is the Investment Manager of Allvest Calathea Trust, a SEBI Category III AIF. Allvest Investment Managers holds an exclusive licence to CalmAlpha, a proprietary investment methodology. Calathea Finserv, the architect of CalmAlpha, brings deep expertise in quantitative research, factor construction and systematic portfolio management. Allvest provides the institutional infrastructure, regulatory expertise and operational excellence required to translate this research into investment decisions.

Investment philosophy

The firm aims to invest in Indian companies while their profits are still speeding up. Five rules apply to every company. One that fails a rule is set aside, not rejected. The rules apply together. The portfolio is designed to be rebalanced every month. The strategy is designed to rely on reported data and observed prices. Positions are sized by downside deviation, within a cap: larger for steadier businesses, smaller where falls have been sharp. The approach is rules-based, so it can trail the market for a long period. It is designed for long-horizon investors who are comfortable with that path.
