Headquartered at Unit 712, Ghanshyam Enclave, Link Road, Kandivali West, Mumbai, the fund operates under the scheme name 'Ascend Global – Opportunities Fund'. The fund's mandate spans late-stage, matured-stage, and pre-IPO equity investments. The team collectively brings 175+ years of experience across equity and debt capital markets, corporate banking, private equity, and life sciences. The investment committee's independent member is Debabrata Sarkar, former Chairman & MD of Union Bank of India. The name Ashberg in the manager entity is derived from Sanjay Kakra's advisory firm Ashberg India Advisors; Savvy from Viren Mathia's firm Savvy Business Solutions — making this a joint venture manager entity.
