CAVI Capital's investment philosophy is grounded in the belief that the firm must inherently understand the businesses the firm invests in and owns - what makes them tick, what they are worth today, and a fair idea of what they should be worth in the future. The firm is bottoms-up, fundamental, value oriented and opportunistic investors with a long-term lens. Active in research and relatively passive in action, the two pillars of the firm's selection process are Valuation and Insight. Valuations = current price < fair value. This should lead to alpha generation. Price discipline is the firm's primary method of risk control. Insight relates to the company's business model, growth outlook, financial metrics, longevity, adaptability and ultimately - investor returns. This is the firm's primary lever for long-term wealth creation. Allocation is a process of elimination. The firm's aim is focused ownership in ideas of deep conviction where value > price, business is sound, expected returns are asymmetrical and down-side is protected.
