About Elixir Equities

Elixir Equities Pvt. Ltd. (EEPL), formerly known as Axis Equities Pvt. Ltd., is a first-generation professionally managed stock broking company having memberships of the BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE). It is a SEBI registered Portfolio Manager, Research Analyst, and Depository Participant of CDSL. The company was incorporated in 1998 to acquire the stock broking operations of the proprietary firm of M/s Dipan Mehta. EEPL has over two decades of experience in the field of equity research, investment management, stock broking, and arbitrage.

Investment philosophy

At Elixir, the firm believes in a strategy to create wealth through long-term investments. The investments are backed by in-depth research into companies with a sound business model, focused and dynamic management, and presence in high-growth industries. The firm believes that India is transitioning from a developing economy to a developed economy. This process will lead to the creation of several large-sized, globally competitive companies. The firm's endeavor is to identify such companies in their nascent stage and profit by investing in their equity for the long term. Stocks are generally held for a long period of time, reducing the 'portfolio turnover'. Holdings are sold only if business fundamentals or economic scenario takes a downturn. Fundamental Research is the backbone of the firm's investment ideas. The firm draws on the firm's decades of experience in stock picking to sift out companies that have good corporate governance standards, sound balance sheets, and good growth prospects. The firm's focus on companies with high RoIs and low debt levels has paid rich dividends. India is a high-interest-rate economy. Only businesses which have very high returns on capital employed can deliver consistently high returns to minority shareholders. The firm's endeavor is to identify such companies, track them, and increase exposure whenever valuations are reasonable.

Radhika Mehta is a postgraduate in management from the prestigious S.P. Jain Institute of Management and a Diploma holder in Securities Law from Government Law College, Mumbai. She has been a past President of the Rotary Club of Queens Necklace and is very active in the Rotary District No. 3140 have held senior positions in a fiduciary capacity. She is a philanthropist and is actively associated with many charitable, healthcare, and educational organizations.
