About FluidVC

Fluid Ventures Trust (IN/AIF1/19-20/0780) is a SEBI-registered Category I Alternative Investment Fund (Venture Capital Fund sub-category) registered in March 2020, managed by Fluidventures Partners LLP (legal name confirmed from Crunchbase). Fluid Ventures is a Gurgaon-based micro-VC fund focused exclusively on early-stage Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) startups in India. Founded by Amit Singal in 2020 (registered 2020, operational from 2021), the fund has a target corpus of INR 60 crore and aims to invest in 15–18 D2C startups over 3 years, writing seed-stage cheques typically in the INR 50 lakh–2 crore range. The fund provides hands-on support to founders for brand building, scalability, and raising subsequent institutional capital. Portfolio includes Fabriclore, Shumee Toys, WallMantra, Eske Paris, Neeman's, Koparo Clean, Redcliffe Genetics, and 22 others.

Investment philosophy

Fluid Ventures is digitally-first, D2C-focused — filling the gap between angel investors and institutional VCs by providing quick, seed-stage capital to early-stage consumer brands. Amit Singal's conviction is that Indian consumer brands can be built for global audiences ('from India, for the world') with a 'made in India' ethos. The fund invests in digital-first consumer brands across categories including footwear, home décor, personal care, food & beverages, edtech, and health, particularly backing founders building differentiated products for Indian consumers. A key philosophical tenet is helping startups build the right financial infrastructure — fund admin, accounting, investor reporting — alongside product and brand building.
