The firm is deeply focused in areas where it sees opportunities for technology to reshape industries and create new ones. growX invests early, from pre-revenue, pre-product and pre-launch, and in mid-stage rounds of high-growth companies alongside trusted GPs.

Investment philosophy

The firm does not care what sector your idea belongs to, as long as it's brilliant and it's B2B. The firm is agnostic at the stage it comes in: it invests early (pre-revenue, pre-product, pre-launch); it invests at early-growth alongside its trusted GPs in mid-stage rounds of high-growth companies. The firm digs tech, deep tech and deep(er!) tech. The investment amount varies on your need, evolution, and the firm's mood, of course. The firm is deeply focused in areas where it sees opportunities for technology to reshape industries and create new ones. The firm needs to "get it" to invest. Ashish Taneja

Founding Partner & CEO

Ashish Taneja is Founding Partner and CEO of growX ventures, which he launched in 2008 during the global financial crisis. A Chartered Accountant and IIM Ahmedabad alumnus (1997–98), he previously worked as a consultant at Andersen Consulting/Accenture and served as India CEO of Vertex (UK's second-largest BPO firm). He borrowed money to make his first angel investments, and built growX from a personal angel portfolio to a VC firm with INR 400 crore AUM and 48 portfolio companies. Also founder and CEO of Zolijns (furniture boutique).

Partner at growX Ventures Management. Leads investment strategy and portfolio development. Has championed early-stage investments in deep tech and B2B sectors for growX.

Chief Financial Officer / SEBI Contact Person

CFO at growX Ventures and SEBI-registered contact for Merak Ventures Fund 1. Previously President at Alchemist Asset Reconstruction Company (10 years). Founder of Hub and Oak Realty (co-working space aggregator) and a vegan restaurant brand (ET 40 Under 40, F&B, 2021). Law and Business Degree from University of Warwick; MBA from London Business School. Responsible for fund operations, compliance, investor relations, capital raising, and exit management.
