HealthQuad Trust II is India's leading healthcare innovation fund, registered as a Category I Venture Capital Fund in April 2016. The investment manager is Healthquad Advisors Private Limited. HealthQuad invests in innovative companies across the healthcare value chain — from disease prevention and wellness to diagnostics, digital health, hospital care, and healthcare financing — with the objective of creating the next generation of category-defining healthcare businesses in India. The fund is backed by KOIS (a Brussels-headquartered global impact finance firm) and operates from Level 3, The Crescent, Lado Sarai, Mehrauli, New Delhi 110030. HealthQuad has a sibling fund: Healthquad Trust II (IN/AIF2/19-20/0684, Category II), managed by Healthquad Capital Advisors Private Limited, which closed at USD 162 million in March 2022. Portfolio includes 15 companies across diagnostics, digital health, mental health, emergency services, and medtech. Fund I portfolio: BeatO, Redcliffe Labs (Redcliffe Lifetech), Wysa, GoApptiv, Qure.ai, ekincare, Medikabazaar, THB (formerly Trusted Health), HealthifyMe, ImpactGuru, StanPlus, Strand Life Sciences (exited), AINU, Regency Healthcare, Neurosynaptic. Investment philosophy

HealthQuad's investment strategy is built on nurturing innovative models that create deep social impact, grounded in four impact pillars: Accessibility (expanding reach to underserved markets, especially Tier II and III cities), Affordability (enabling healthcare access for the most marginalized communities), Awareness (promoting preventive health initiatives to address health complications at the right stage), and Quality (promoting transformation and innovation to enhance care quality). Investment criteria: unique business offering with an established value proposition; strong execution team with deep expertise; established revenue model with strong traction; clearly defined social impact thesis integrated with business strategy; limited execution risk; scalability; and inherent ability to improve healthcare outcomes. Value creation approach post-investment: team building, business development, margin improvement, business model realignment, strategic initiatives, and corporate governance. HealthQuad focuses on micro-markets and builds customized solutions leveraging technology to improve business model efficiencies.

Charles-Antoine is the Managing Partner of HealthQuad. He co-founded KOIS in 2010 with the belief that collaboration between the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors is the best way to scale impact solutions. He holds a Bachelor's in Law from ULB and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. Previously spent 5 years at Merrill Lynch London and held management positions at UCB (where he remains a Board Member). He also co-founded Toolbox, an NGO providing management services to NGOs.
