About

Info Edge Capital (IN/AIF2/22-23/1043) is a SEBI-registered Category II AIF managed by Info Edge Ventures Private Limited, the venture capital arm of Info Edge (India) Limited (NSE: Naukri; BSE: 532777). Info Edge is India's pioneering internet company founded by Sanjeev Bikhchandani in 1995, operating Naukri.com (India's largest job portal, flagship revenue asset), 99Acres.com, Jeevansathi.com, and Shiksha.com. In 2020, Info Edge set up an alternative investment arm called Info Edge Ventures under which it started Info Edge Venture Fund, a venture capital fund to invest in early-stage technology startups. Info Edge Ventures (supported by Temasek) has invested in 70+ early-stage, tech-enabled startups across 6 years. The fund invests at seed to Series A stages in technology companies. The AIF is registered at Ground Floor, 12A, 94 Meghdoot, Nehru Place, New Delhi – 110019 (Info Edge's Delhi office complex). Info Edge's celebrated past investments include Zomato (early investor, INR 86 crore across 4 rounds 2010–2013, became controlling shareholder) and Policybazaar (invested 2008 before website launch).

Investment philosophy

Info Edge Ventures operates with the conviction that India will produce the next generation of internet-led platform companies. With a tech DNA and first-hand entrepreneurial experience, Info Edge set out to invest in tech-based startups across sectors. Successful early investments in renowned Indian companies like Zomato and PolicyBazaar spurred the team to double down on startup investing and set up InfoEdge Ventures in 2019, supported by Temasek. The fund backs early-stage companies leveraging technology across sectors ranging from adjacent businesses (dating, real estate intelligence) to completely new segments (agritech). The philosophy centres on a long-term strategic focus on a tech and digital-first future.
