Professor Prakash Vaidya is Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Chair in the Chemical Engineering Department at the Institute of Chemical Technology in Mumbai. He is an expert in catalysis, separations, and reaction engineering. He works in energy transition, especially promotion of carbon footprint reduction in the energy systems during the transition. He is one of India's leading chemical engineering scientists. He has made sustained, original and influential contributions to the art, science and application of chemical and process engineering over more than two decades. So far, he has authored 150 publications and 4 patents, and successfully guided 35 PhDs and 65 MTech scholars.
