NEDFi Venture Capital Limited (NVCL), is formed with the objective of acting as Investment Manager to Venture Funds. NVCL was incorporated under the provisions of the Companies Act 2013 on 2nd August 2016. NVCL is a wholly owned subsidiary of North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Limited (NEDFi), a Public Financial Institution and registered as an NBFC (NDSI) with RBI. NEDFi with its network of branches has more than 21 years of experience in financing various projects of varied sizes in the NER and NVCL has direct lineage of NEDFi.
Prasanta Kumar Talukdar
Deputy General Manager (Investment)
Prasanta leads the Investment Team at NVCL. He has more than 25 years of combined experience across equity investments and consulting in the developmental sector, including projects assisted by multilateral funding agencies such as ADB and KfW. Prior to joining NEDFi, he was associated with SMEC, a multinational consulting firm known for its technical excellence and sustainable infrastructure solutions aimed at generating economic growth and delivering essential services in some of the world's fastest-growing economies. He holds a Master's Degree in Agricultural Statistics from Assam Agricultural University.
Mrirani Sarmah

Mrirani looks after the Legal aspect of NVCL. She has 24 years of experience in documentation for Equity and Debt Instruments, Legal Litigation and Arbitration, and Corporate Law. She has a Master's Degree in Commerce and Bachelor's Degree in Law from Guwahati University. She is also a qualified CS (intern).
Rajiv Khaidem
Investment Team
Rajiv Khaidem is a member of the investment team at NVCL. He joined NEDFi in 2009 and has held roles including Branch Manager of NEDFi's Imphal Branch and Manager in the Project Finance Department. He holds an MBA in Finance & HR and has received specialized training from CRISIL, EDI, and NIBM.

Zaveer Zaman
Assistant General Manager
Zaveer looks after Investments at NVCL. He has more than 17 years of combined experience in Equity and Debt Funding across sectors, primarily in the North Eastern Region. He has a Master's Degree in Business Administration (Marketing and Finance) from Tezpur University, Assam, and a Bachelor's Degree (Hons) in Commerce from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.
Siddhartha Lahkar

Siddhartha is a part of the Investment Team at NVCL. He has more than 12 years of combined experience in the field of Equity and Debt Funding. He also has experience in general administration. Prior to joining NEDFi, he worked as a Production Engineer in the Flexible Laminate Industry, in the field of production planning and execution. He has a Master's Degree in Business Administration (Finance and Human Resource) and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Instrumentation).
Nickson Sharma

Nickson is an Investment Associate at NVCL, with over 10 years of combined experience across the entrepreneurial landscape in India's startup ecosystem. Prior to NVCL, he worked with 91Springboard, Startup Tunnel, and Tracxn, gaining a 360-degree view of the startup journey, from incubation to funding to growth. He holds an MBA from Amity University, California State University and Birkbeck, University of London, and a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from VTU, Karnataka.
Gaurav Barick

Gaurav has nearly 10 years of experience in Scheme Management, Venture Capital, empirical research and financial analysis across Public and Private Sector organizations. He holds a B.Sc. and an MBA in Finance, with a strong foundation in financial management and research. His experience includes scheme implementation, investment assessment, stakeholder coordination and analytical assignments. He is also an NISM certified Alternative Investment Manager.
PVSLN Murty

Shri PVSLN Murty is currently the Chairman and Managing Director of North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Limited (NEDFi). He formerly worked as Chief General Manager (CGM) and Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of the largest public sector bank, State Bank of India (SBI), and brings with him 40+ years of rich Commercial and Development Banking experience in diverse and varied areas of the Financial System. Prior to joining NEDFi as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), Mr. Murty was posted as Chief Strategy Officer at SBI, based at the Corporate Office, Mumbai. Mr. Murty also has experience of serving the North Eastern Region of India for more than three years as Chief General Manager and Regional Head during the period of 2015-2018 while in SBI. Besides serving as a member on the Board of Directors of NEDFi from June 2016 to November 2018, he was also on the Boards of the Indian Institute of Bank Management (IIBM), ATTF and many large industrial corporates. He was instrumental in bringing up APONGHAR, a popular Housing Loan Scheme for the Government of Assam employees, in collaboration with the Assam Government.
Lemli Loyi

Shri Lemli Loyi is a senior banking and development finance professional with over 25 years of experience spanning development finance, infrastructure investment, venture capital, MSME financing and advisory services. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) and PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He has been associated with the Export-Import Bank of India and NEDFi, where he has held senior positions and handled diverse responsibilities in project and infrastructure finance, investment, entrepreneurship development and institutional initiatives. Presently serving as Executive Director of NEDFi, he brings extensive experience and strategic insight in investment, enterprise development and financial services.
Ramheube E. Zeliang

Shri Ramheube E. Zeliang is an Electrical Engineer and Finance Professional with nearly three decades of experience in financial services and development finance, specialising in credit, lending, risk management and business development in North East India. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (1995), PGDM from IIM Calcutta (1997) and CFA qualification (2013). He began his career with UTI in 1997 in mutual fund marketing and sales and joined NEDFi in 1999, where he has held various roles in the Credit function. His experience spans project appraisal, credit assessment, financing scheme design, credit policy, risk management and institutional credit decision-making, with field exposure across all eight North Eastern States. As General Manager NEDFi, he currently oversees credit operations across NEDFi's 24 Branch Offices in the North Eastern Region.
