India's first dedicated clean energy private equity fund
India Alternative Energy Trust (IN/AIF1/13-14/0082) is a SEBI-registered Category I – Infrastructure Fund, registered on 29 October 2013, managed by Nereus Consultants Private Limited (Nereus Capital). Nereus Capital, founded in 2010 and based in Mumbai, is an alternative investment manager focused on renewable power generation and clean technologies. It manages India's first and only dedicated clean energy AIF, targeting equity and equity-linked investments in small and medium companies that develop, build and operate renewable and clean power systems in India. The offshore master fund — Nereus India Alternative Energy Fund — had a USD 250 million target; IFC committed USD 20 million in September 2012. Nereus raised close to USD 100 million by mid-2013. The India Alternative Energy Trust is the onshore vehicle (SEBI AIF). The registered address is Suite 1806, Hotel Four Seasons, 114 Dr. E.
