Peaceful Progress LLP is a Chennai-based early-stage investment firm incorporated in August 2021 (LLPIN: AAY-2998), with designated partners Chandrashekar Kupperi, Sitaraman Parthasarathy, and Srinivasan Arunachalam. The firm manages the Peaceful Progress Trust (SEBI AIF Category I, reg. IN/AIF1/21-22/0982), a SEBI-registered angel fund that achieved an INR 50 crore first close in 2025. The General Partners — Chandrashekar Kupperi, Kamal Kumar Agarwal, Sitaraman Parthasarathy, and Srinivasan Arunachalam — bring combined expertise in M&A advisory, FMCG, engineering entrepreneurship, and financial services technology. The fund has backed over 22 startups including Zypp Electric, Garuda Aerospace, Bombay Shaving Company, Revamp Moto, Lissun, and Liger Mobility, deploying approximately INR 1–3 crore per investment. Operating from Ashok Nagar, Chennai, the fund co-invests alongside leading VCs and angel platforms and targets technology-led and consumer businesses at the pre-seed and seed stages.

Investment philosophy

At Peaceful Progress, growth is achieved in a peaceful and principled manner. The fund takes a meticulous and thoughtful approach to investing, prioritising careful and considered investment decisions grounded in data and research. The investment thesis is built around backing founder-led, early-stage startups with enormous growth potential in technology-enabled sectors (FinTech, HealthTech, EdTech, FoodTech, ManufacturingTech, ConsumerTech, AI/ML/IoT) as well as FMCG and new-age disruptors. The fund prefers to co-invest by partnering with early-stage VCs, micro-VCs, and angel platforms. Evaluation follows a three-step process: screening (founder and business fit), picking (multi-filter analysis and partner fund discussions), and execution (post-investment support including mentoring, network access, and governance guidance). The fund's logo — a pigeon with upward arrows — symbolises agility, trustworthiness, and data-driven upward progress.

Chandrashekar Kupperi is a General Partner at Peaceful Progress. He has two decades of experience in renowned multinationals across diversified sectors and is well acquainted with the M&A space – having led/ been part of over 11 acquisitions and 4 divestments. He has worked with ExxonMobil, KPMG, and Yardley of London. Shekar who is keenly engaged with the Startup ecosystem, is also an active angel investor and has made investments in more than 30 startups across segments, both in India and abroad. He is a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, and a Company Secretary by qualification.

Kamal Kumar Agarwal

Kamal Agarwal is a General Partner at Peaceful Progress. He is a dynamic, detail-oriented professional with experience spanning over 18 years in the FMCG space. He is an expert with the consumer segment having worked for multinationals such as ITC Limited, Cadbury and Ferrero. Currently he manages a Chocolates and Confectionery startup. He is a Chartered Accountant by qualification.

Sitaraman Parthasarathy

Sitaraman Parthasarathy is a General Partner at Peaceful Progress. Sitaraman is a Mechanical Engineer and technocrat turned entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in the Middle East market at various positions. He is the Co-Founder of ImageGrafix Engineering Services group of companies in India, which was established in 2006. The group offers Engineering & Technology Services and is the 'Exclusive' partner of Hexagon, Dimensional Solutions, Applied Flow Technology, Future Network Development, Bricsys. Under his leadership the group has grown significantly.

Srinivasan Arunachalam

Srinivasan Arunachalam (Srini) has more than 35 years of experience in the Financial Services Technology Industry, of which, the last 25 years has been in Executive Management positions of various large organizations, such as Oracle, Wipro, etc. He is considered an Emerging Market specialist and has brought to fore his background in Client Engagement, Sales, Product Management, Technology and Business Roadmap, and Financial Accounting. Srini is an active investor, and specifically in the Startup ecosystem, and advises numerous startups in their growth strategies including market expansion outside of India, as well as mentors them towards better governance practices. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Cost Accountant.
