Investment philosophy

Partner of Choice: It is an exciting time to be a founder in the Indian consumption space. The firm understands that choosing an investor is an important decision. The firm believes it is the right partner for founders looking to build large businesses while remaining true to first principles and sound business fundamentals. The firm likes to be on the same side as its founders. The firm prefers to lead or co-lead rounds for seed and pre series A, and is happy to follow the lead investor in Series A. Significant capital is reserved for follow on investment. When the firm invests, it gets involved where it can actually move the needle: early hires, brand positioning, distribution strategy, financial control, unit economics, and follow-on fundraising. The firm is thesis driven: it does the work before walking into a room, and shows up with a point of view and lots of questions.
