Quantgro was born out of conviction: that money can be managed better with logic, data, and discipline. The firm is a SEBI registered Category III Alternative Investment Fund (AIF). The fund is called 'Quantgro Equity and Derivatives Fund'. The firm's goal is simple yet ambitious: to deliver consistent, risk-managed capital appreciation by leveraging a disciplined, quant driven approach. The firm deploys capital across a dynamic mix of instruments to balance growth and stability. Equities: focus on high-quality businesses that are showing strength. Equity Derivatives: use options and futures to enhance returns and manage risk. Commodity Derivatives: tap the opportunities provided by commodities. Dhiraj Sinha is Founder and Managing Partner. Pankaj Kumar is Co-founder and Managing Partner.

Investment philosophy

Quantgro runs a next-gen long-short, multi-asset strategy designed for the modern Indian market landscape, under its MAST approach. The approach starts with a read of market regimes, whether bullish, bearish or sideways, to guide the long-short orientation. Quantgro goes long on strength, meaning fundamentally solid instruments already showing price leadership, and shorts true weakness, meaning companies with weak fundamentals and declining momentum. In sideways markets it uses non-directional derivatives strategies. Capital is allocated dynamically across asset classes toward the most attractive risk-reward profiles. Its AI and machine learning technology stack synthesizes fundamental data, technical analysis, derivatives analytics and market participant behaviour. Leverage is used within SEBI-specified norms, with capital protection as a priority.

Dhiraj brings over 25 years of corporate experience, and a lifelong passion for the markets, to Quantgro. While pursuing his MBA at IIM Calcutta, he dreamed of managing money. But life led him into the world of technology, where he spent decades in leadership roles. The fire for finance never went out. It simply waited for the right time. Today, he is a full-time investor in equities, commodities, and derivatives, managing his own capital with a sharp focus on consistency and risk control. At Quantgro, Dhiraj leads a data-driven, multi-strategy investment approach, blending technology, discipline, and a deep respect for capital.
