VIRA AIF Trust is a Category II Alternative Investment Fund trust organised as a contributory determinate investment trust, registered with SEBI in January 2025. Its first and flagship scheme, VIRA Bharat Opportunities Fund, is managed and sponsored by Veenavadini Fincom Private Limited, a Mumbai-based financial services company with activities spanning consultancy, investment management, and real estate. The fund's stated objective is to make private equity investments in entities across sectors, with a specific focus on the SME segment — including listed, unlisted, and proposed-to-be-listed securities on the SME exchange as well as the main board. The fund has a target corpus of ₹50 crore with a green shoe option of an additional ₹50 crore, a minimum commitment of ₹1 crore per investor, a 5-year lifespan (extendable by 1+1 years), a management fee of 2% per annum, and a hurdle rate of 12% p.a. XIRR with an 80:20 carry-sharing arrangement. The trust is supported by Orbis Trusteeship Services Private Limited as Trustee and is headquartered at The Capital, BKC, Mumbai.
