Catalysing the journey of fintech startups.
Yan Angel Fund is India's first early-stage fintech-focused SEBI-registered Category I Alternative Investment Fund (Angel Fund), launched in July 2022 by Mumbai-based Yatra Angel Network (YAN). With a target corpus of ₹90 crore, the fund invests in 8–10 fintech startups annually at pre-seed, seed, and pre-Series A stages — typically deploying ₹90 lakh to ₹1.5 crore per startup. YAN emerged from 'The Fintech Yatra', an annual road journey spanning over 25,000 km across India to discover and mentor early-stage fintech founders, which was inaugurated with a flag-off by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra in June 2018. Through the Yatra and an associated PPP-model accelerator programme (in partnership with MeitY and the Government of India), YAN has engaged with over 3,000 fintech startups. The fund is managed by Yatra Angel Network Venture Enablers LLP, which closed its maiden fund in November 2022 with LPs drawn from experienced BFSI professionals and senior fintech founders, including co-founders of M2P Fintech, Paisabazaar, Karza Technologies, and PayGlocal. Notable portfolio companies include OneCard, M2P Fintech, Tartan, DataSutram, PayGlocal, ShopSe, Riskcovry, and Vayana Network.
