Nurture Capital — Building Global Deep Tech Leaders from India
SEBI-encouraged funds — venture capital, SME, social-impact and infrastructure. Close-ended, generally unleveraged.
YourNest Capital Advisors Private Limited (CIN: U67200HR2011PTC042643) is the investment manager for all YourNest-branded AIF vehicles, including the newly registered Yournest Continuum Fund I (IN/AIF2/25-26/1919). Founded in 2011 by Sunil K. Goyal, Sanjay Pande, and Girish Shivani, YourNest is among India's best-performing early-stage venture capital firms, operating from Gurgaon. The Continuum Fund reflects YourNest's broader secondary and continuation strategy, aligned with the IVCA Secondaries Conference 2025 where YourNest was a key partner. YourNest manages a cumulative AUM of approximately US$ 53 million across three prior funds, valued at ~US$ 1.2 billion as of May 2025. Fund I (US$ 14 mn, 2012) has returned 4.6x gross MOIC at 21.7% gross IRR; Fund II (US$ 30 mn, 2017) stands at 3.2x gross MOIC and 31.0% gross IRR; Fund III (US$ 69 mn, 2021) is at 1.2x gross MOIC. The Continuum Fund I is a Category II AIF registered in October 2025, consistent with YourNest's strategy of launching continuation vehicles to manage follow-on opportunities and secondary liquidity for its portfolio companies across DeepTech sectors.
Sunil Goyal
Fund managerManaging Director and Fund Manager
Sunil Goyal is the visionary force behind YourNest, dedicated to building the firm as an enduring institution that nurtures success in perpetuity. As Managing Director, he views his role through the lens of 'Nurture Capital,' handholding his team to empower them as leaders while instilling a culture of accountability. Sunil is a master of the early-stage pivot, recognised for his ability to stay nimble and shift gears through the volatile cycles of the startup journey. A self-described "Business Analyst to the core", Sunil relies on a finely-tuned instinct to identify attractive business models regardless of the sector. His professional philosophy is a unique blend of heritage and ambition: possessing a deep-rooted sense for sniffing out a mega-opportunity and an aspiration to think big (even as far as Mars!). His track record is defined by a willingness to stand at odds with the consensus – from developing the business case for packaged coconut oil in the early '90s at Dabur, to building and then investing in Airtel during its historic 2003 lows. Sunil's foundation in business didn't come from a lecture hall, but from a two-month internship at a flour mill (atta chakki) in Punjab between the 10th and 11th grades. This early immersion laid the groundwork for a career built on empathy for the entrepreneur – a non-negotiable value he has held since 1984. He approaches every deal and idea by prioritising the recipient's perspective, striving for absolute clarity and simplicity over ambiguity to drive speed and mutual wins. For Sunil, professional energy is derived from the privilege of following a dream without compulsion. He unwinds through yoga, meditation and golf, or by simply being among a small circle of friends. When he isn't working, Sunil is anchored in mindfulness and connection: beginning with meditation, spending hours on the golf course, and ending with a home-cooked meal and evening chai with his life partner, Sangi. This balance of high-stakes ambition and grounded personal rituals allows him to live every day to its fullest.
Girish Shivani
Fund managerExecutive Director and Fund Manager
BSc in Computer Science (St Stephen's College), MBA in Finance (IMT Ghaziabad)
As a Managing Partner and Co-founder of YourNest, Girish Shivani provides the analytical bedrock upon which the firm's investment philosophy is built. His responsibilities are expansive, covering the entire venture capital lifecycle: from sharpening the investment thesis and deal sourcing to fundraising and active portfolio management. Having spent his career working with numbers, Girish is a specialist in large-dataset analytics and pattern recognition, skills that allow him to identify DeepTech opportunities with clinical precision. Girish's professional journey is marked by deep expertise across BFSI, Telecom, Media, and Technology. This diverse sector experience is underpinned by a rigorous academic foundation, holding a BSc in Computer Science from St Stephen's College and an MBA in Finance from IMT Ghaziabad. This background has instilled a highly structured, logical way of thinking, where every investment decision is viewed through an analytical overlay that balances risk with transformative potential. Known for a non-negotiable work ethic, Girish is defined by his discipline and punctuality. He adheres to a strict 'zero-unread messages' policy, ensuring every thread of communication is addressed before his day ends, and he maintains a personal ritual of never entering a meeting or call unprepared. For Girish, the workday starts at 0900 and simply "ends when it ends". Beyond numbers, Girish finds balance in pursuits that mirror the complexity of venture capital. He is an avid golfer and a practitioner of astrophotography, a hobby that requires the same patience and precision as identifying the next star startup. He is also a passionate cook, viewing the culinary arts as a perfect metaphor for investing: a delicate balance of art and science where the right ingredients and timing are essential to come out on top. On an ideal day away from work, you'll find him on the golf course, listening to his growing vinyl collection, or enjoying a well-earned rest with his wife and two children.

Sanjay Pande
Fund managerDirector and Fund Manager
BA in English Literature; IIM Ahmedabad graduate
Sanjay Pande is something of an academic outlier: he holds a BA in English Literature. Most people pick a lane; he drove down all three, and then added hotel management for good measure. He is a graduate from IIM Ahmedabad. He once dreamed of becoming a fighter pilot, but eyesight had other plans. He believes that being kind and being vulnerable are two of the biggest strengths anyone can have. Sanjay also believes that anything you do will influence your life, and each of his experiences have shaped how he thinks and works today. Hotel management taught him the value of respecting individuals whilst not losing self-respect. Management taught him to deal with the highest level of academic stress without letting it break him, taught him about teamwork, and showed him how not to let failure define him. English literature is where the power of the word manifested in a big way, shaping his communication style. His career has spanned hotels, sustainable development, academics, healthcare, aviation, e-commerce, adventure but the story of how he came to venture capital is very simple: Sunil Goyal thought there was a role for a coach and, over time, Sanjay proved how coaching could help entrepreneurs in their early stage. As Founding Partner at YourNest, his role is to help YourNest succeed and help build the ecosystem through thinking, innovation, support, training, and questioning. His primary responsibility is building the human competency for YourNest. For Sanjay, there are no shortcuts. Sharpening the axe is more important than chopping. He spends an exorbitant amount of time looking at details before executing something. He treats everyone with respect and kindness and expects that from others too. He values empathy over authority, and believes these are non-negotiable. Sanjay unwinds through sports, adventure activities, theatre, and music. He used to read voraciously – a passion that has, sadly, reduced over time. He also enjoys off-roading and biking. An ideal day away from work would be unplanned and unstructured, as he prefers spontaneity.
Dr. Vivek Mansingh
General Partner
PhD (Queen's University), EMBA (Stanford)
Dr Vivek Mansingh is a cornerstone of the HardTech and DeepTech ecosystems at YourNest. As a General Partner, he brings a legendary track record of technical innovation to the Investment Committee, where he ratifies high-conviction opportunities. He has worked directly with Bill Hewlett, David Packard, John Chambers, Michael Dell and Steve Jobs. He serves as a pivotal Board Member and mentor to portfolio companies like Miko and Dozee. Dr Mansingh's career is a masterclass in hardware and systems engineering. He developed the first workstation for HP, licensed his own personally patented instruments to Cambridge Accusense, and worked directly with Steve Jobs at Aavid on systems design and cooling. From chip design at Ishoni Networks to leading the design of Dell's first billion-dollar server lines in India, he has consistently solved the most complex problems in product development and globalisation. His academic foundation is as robust as his professional one, holding a PhD from Queen's University and an EMBA from Stanford. This dual training in deep science and executive leadership has shaped his philosophy of 'Innovation and Excellence'. For Dr Mansingh, mentoring is in his DNA: he views the sharing of his decades of experience as the most effective way to nurture the next generation of tech leaders. He approaches every deal and idea with a focus on creating a lasting legacy through disruptive, out-of-the-box thinking. Outside of his role as a GP, Dr Mansingh recharges through reading, music, and travel. He is deeply committed to social work and creating a broader impact beyond the boardroom. For him, an ideal day is spent with his family, reflecting on how technology can continue to solve real-world problems.
