Private equity, private credit and real-estate funds that don't employ leverage except for operating needs. The largest AIF category.
Ekkum TIH Emerging Opportunities Fund is a SEBI-registered Category II Alternative Investment Fund (reg. IN/AIF2/20-21/0866), managed by Inga Ventures Private Limited — a 25-year-old boutique investment banking firm founded by G.S. Ganesh (first-generation investment banker) and headquartered at Hubtown Solaris, Andheri East, Mumbai. Inga Ventures specialises in mid-cap capital markets and advisory, and established the fund in partnership with TIH Singapore. The fund focuses on mid-cap emerging opportunities — taking minority equity stakes in growth-stage companies while leveraging Inga's three-decade network and advisory expertise to assist investees in growth through co-investors, institutional placements, and public listing or strategic exits. 'Ekkum TIH' reflects the partnership: Inga (Tamil/Sanskrit for 'here') and TIH (Technology Innovation Hub or family office from Singapore). The fund represents Inga's pivot from pure advisory to proprietary capital deployment in mid-cap India.
